1. Type gpedit.msc in windows search and hit enter

2. Go to Local Group Policy-> Administrative Templates->System

3. Go to ‘Run only specified windows applications’ from right panel Or you can go through ‘Don’t run specified Windows applications’ to put the ‘Name of that application’ so that user can’t use that specific application

4. tick the ‘enabled’ button then click the ‘show’ button now pop-up windows will get opened, next stuff is you have to put the application name in text field.

5. Double click on text field and write the name of that application you wish to make disable for other users

For example type: vlc.exe

For example type: calc.exe.

Now the user won’t be able to use disabled application, please check the below working screenshot for VLC media player-

You may see as soon as user try to open VLC media player the error message would get displayed by the system. By using this tricks administrator can disable the specific program application in windows 7
